For hundreds of years, Garcinia Cambogia has been viewed as a miracle weight loss in tropical regions where it is found in abundance and has only recently been discovered by the West as a highly effective weight loss aid. In one particular study, this premise was put to test when 35 healthy, but obese individuals between the ages of 21 and 50 over a period of eight weeks. The participants in the study consumed a diet of over 2000 calories every day and exercised for half an hour each day for five days every week. One section of the study group was given a patented form of Garcinia Cambogia HCA that bound with calcium and potassium salts whereas the other group was administered placebo.
At the end of the study, the group that consumed the placebo lost an average of over 2 pounds, whereas the group that consumed the HCA supplement lost an average of over 13 pounds while their average BMI reduced by over 6.5%; in the placebo section it reduced by only 1.5%.
Scientists of the study advise that it is not just enough to take Garcinia Cambogia supplements for weight loss, but how it is taken is an extremely important in order to see effective results.
