1/4 cup dry red wine
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
2 teaspoons sugar
1 (1-pound) flank steak, trimmed (about 1/2 inch thick)
In a small saucepan combine first 7 ingredients, stirring well.
Coat broiler pan with cooking spray and place steak on pan. Brush 1 tablespoon wine mixture on steak and broil for 6 minutes. Turn steak, brushing with 1 tablespoon wine mixture. Broil for 6 minutes or until steak is at desired doneness. Let stand for 5 minutes and then slice.
Boil remaining wine mixture and cook for 5 minutes or until mixture is 1/4 cup.
Thinly slice steak across grain diagonally. Serve steak with wine sauce.
Pair with Jicama Coleslaw for a crunchy and zesty dinner.
