We have spent years as personal trainers helping our clients get excited about fitness and nutrition and honing a plan that they can find success with for a lifetime. A new client always meant the same thing to us – Potential. In order to empower our clients to see their own potential for lifelong fitness, however, we almost always had to wade through a sea of negative perceptions and experiences, often coupled with guilt, self-deprecation and anger.
Let us just get that out of the way…
I hate exercising. People make fun of me because I’m too fat. People make fun of me because I’m too thin. I’ve been dieting all of my life. I wouldn’t begin to know how to lift weights, let alone work a treadmill. I can’t seem to get my weight under control. I can’t control my eating. I’ve never been able to stick to a workout plan. I can’t believe I let myself get like this. If I go to the gym, people will stare. I secretly binge. I hardly eat anything, and still can’t lose weight…
Any of those sound familiar? Fine, now let’s talk to you about your potential.
You have the opportunity to take the first step down the road to lifelong fitness today.
If you start exercising today, you will have gained your first success. Next week, you will already start to feel your body change. Next month, you will find that you are in touch with your Inner Athlete and that you enjoy the feeling of your body in motion. Not far down the road, you will find yourself striving for new accomplishments because you’ve already reached your original goals.
If you begin using our nutrition plan to make educated choices today, you will find out that you don’t have to give up your favorite foods to lose weight and become fit. Next week you will find that you no longer feel the discomfort of being over full or starving. Next month you will find that your old cravings are gone. Soon after that you will have the metabolism to become one of those skinny people who can “Eat All Day and Never Gain a Pound.”
If you become involved in the Live Community today, you will find that you are not alone. Next week you will find that there was a wealth of encouragement just waiting for you to join. Next month, you may find yourself participating in your first Live Event. Next year you may find yourself leading one.
Now for the “What Ifs.”
If you fall off the wagon every now and again, our response is, “Good. Glad to know you are human. The plan and support are still there, get back on.”
If you fall of the wagon for a week, a month, a year, we will be here to welcome you back when you are ready to resume your journey.
