It also contains enzyms like protein, pepsin, and chlorophyll. In fact it contains the highest content of chlorophyll of any other plants in the world.
Due to the high amount of chlorophyll, chlorella has many beneficial effects toward the immune system. It has been proven that chlorophyll helps to improve and strengthen the immune system.
Because chlorella is a great source of vitamins it is able to stimulate prodction of red blood cells, as well as aid muscle growth. It is also rich in fibers, and can decrease or eliminate food cravings, cause feelings of being full, and reductio of fat storage.
